Osaka, Japan -
Seung-Kyoo Kang, IBAF Vice President (Asia) and President of Korea Baseball Association, was a guest of honor at the 82nd Japan High School Federation's (JHBF) Invitational Tournament, at the Koshien Stadium in Osaka, Japan. President Takasyasu Okushima of JHBF and Kang agreed to strengthen ties of high school baseball between the two countries as well as collaborate to develop the sport in Asia. The tournament which opened on March 21 lasts for 12 days and is participated by 32 teams selected from JHBF's 4,200 schools with 170,000 players. The first day (3 games) attracted total of 67,000 fans and Tatsuo Kawabata, Minister of Education threw the first ball to open the tournament. |
